Austin's Mixed-Use Projects Hit Major Milestones With Construction Launches

In northeast Austin, Colony Park Sustainable Community, a 3,000-unit mixed-use project developed by Catellus/Banbury Development, is rising on Loyola Lane between Johnny Morris Road and Decker Lane.
Another listing notes the same Colony Park project advancing at the same northeast Austin location, confirming ongoing work by the same development group. These construction starts reflect coordinated activity across separate sites on the same reporting date.
Recent Approvals and Proposals
Residences at 10200 McKalla Place received approval for mixed-use development at 10200 and 10202 McKalla Place in the North Burnet area. North Burnet/Gateway RSMU Rezoning by Brandywine Realty Trust was also approved for the zone bounded by Braker Lane, Burnet Road, MoPac Expressway and Stonelake Boulevard.
Acacia Cliffs, a 700-unit residential project by Price Acacia Cliff, gained approval at addresses including 7201, 7201½, 7205 and 7121 Hart Lane. The mixed-use plan calls for a seven-floor structure reaching 90 feet in height. Proposed projects include Boulevard & Nueces Street Towers at multiple addresses along West Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Rio Grande Street and Nueces Street, plus the Springdale Farm Follow-Up at 755 Springdale Rd in East Austin by 755 Springdale, LP, which would add 130 units, 320 parking spaces and five affordable housing units.
