SkillSync: The AI Platform Austin Tech Workers Need This Month
Local startup rolls out updated matching engine that ties directly into semiconductor hiring at firms clustered around the Domain and East Austin corridors.

SkillSync released its July update on the fifth, adding live feeds from 47 Austin employers that list semiconductor and AI engineering openings. The change lets users filter by commute time to specific sites and see salary bands pulled from recent postings.
The timing lines up with new federal incentives that have sped up factory construction north of the city. Local hiring managers report they need workers who already understand clean-room protocols and machine-learning deployment, skills the platform now tags automatically from resumes.
Neighborhood anchors
SkillSync maintains a small office above a coffee shop on East Sixth Street and runs weekly in-person sessions at Capital Factory on Congress Avenue. Staff there pull data from postings at the Samsung campus in Taylor and the new Apple buildings along West Parmer Lane, then push matches to subscribers the same day.
Users can also join a free walk-through at the Domain Northside on the third Thursday of each month. The sessions cover how to upload portfolios that highlight work with the specific fabrication tools listed in current openings.
Numbers behind the rollout
An internal SkillSync report dated June 30 showed 1,850 Austin-area accounts active in the past quarter, with 38 percent landing interviews within two weeks of an updated match. Average listed salary for matched roles sits at $148,000, up from $119,000 in the same period last year. Subscription access costs $29 a month or $240 annually.
Anyone already in the system should log in before the next data refresh on July 18 to re-rank their profile against the newest listings. New users can create an account on the company site and attend the free Capital Factory session to get a direct walkthrough of the updated filters.
